The Royal Navy

The Royal Navy had just had two brand new troop/tank carrier ships built and were taking them out for sea trials just off Portsmouth. These ships were ahead with the technology of the older ships and very dependant on I.T.

One of the ships had a major problem with one of the docking computers on the bridge connecting to the main server...

Main-Tel were called out to go and investigate the problem, travelling to the job our engineer had to change direction umpteen times as the sea trails were between Portsmouth and Portland and we had to be at the port that the captain decided he was docking into.

When Main-Tel arrived we tested the PC and found no problems we then tested the cable link between the PC and the server we ran a network test and found that there was a fault on the actual cable. We then fixed the problem.

The ship was able to carry on with its sea trials. With no call backs.
